China's crude steel output falls in Dec 2022 m-o-m, y-o-y
According to statistics released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) of China, in December last year, China's crude steel and pig iron production amounted to approximately 77.9 million tons and 69 million tons, down by 4.5% and 1.5% month on month, and also dropping by 9.8% and 4.6% year on year, respectively.
In 2022, China's crude steel output totaled around 1,000 million tons, falling by 2.1% from the output in the previous year; the output of pig iron was around 863.8 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 0.8%.
