Sheng Yu Steel Co., Ltd. (SYSCO), one of the leading coated steel producers in Taiwan, announced price hikes in its March domestic sales of galvanized steel and pre-painted steel by NT$1,500/ton, the same increase as Yieh Phui’s price adjustment.

International steel prices continue to rise, and the demand was expected to be strong in the second quarter of this year. However, the demand in the domestic market remains weak. Downstream dealers are under pressure to reflect the increase on new orders, so they don’t raise prices and are waiting and watching the market at the moment.
