Italy to help Ukraine lift blockade on steel seaport exports
Ukraine's export conditions are subject to various restrictions due to war-related effects. The Black Sea is closed for Ukraine, so goods can only be transported to the Adriatic region via the available railways and roads.
The main idea of the plan proposed by the Italian government is to create a logistics platform to connect Ukraine with the Quadrante Europa intermodal port in Verona and further connect the seaports in northeastern Italy.
If the project can be realized, it will help Ukraine regain access to the sea and restore the country's export capabilities.
