JSW Steel has introduced JSW Magsure, becoming the first Indian company to produce and market Zinc-Magnesium-Aluminium alloy coated steel domestically. This product, patented by JSW Steel, is crucial for usage in applications in high-corrosive environments and aims to reduce India’s dependence on imports.

Since 2020, the Indian market for this alloy has surged from 15,000 to 120,000 metric tons, with a forecasted demand of 250,000 tons worth Rs 2,200 crores in FY24, driven by the renewable energy sector.

JSW Magsure addresses supply constraints by offering an indigenous Made in India solution with quick delivery timelines. Besides meeting domestic demand, JSW Steel plans to explore export opportunities in Europe and the Middle East, enhancing the availability and application of this innovative product.
